Travel with EESTEC

If you would like to spend some nice days with EESTEC in a foreign city, visit a workshop on an interesting topic and get to know other people from abroad, check out our international website:

www.eestec.net/events

What is the procedure of an workshop?

First of all you should know that you only have to pay the flight costs and expenses during the partys (sometimes not even that). The hotel and catering costs, possibly transport costs on site and for excursions are taken over by the LC in the respective city.

  1. Look for an event you would like to go (www.eestec.net/events)
  2. You send an email to contact@eestecmunich.net and just introduce yourself, or stop by during one of our meetings.
  3. You register on eestec.net and let us activate your account.
  4. You apply on www.eestec.net for an interesting workshop.
  5. We put together a list of priorities. This means, if the other local group says they will take 2 people from Munich, the first two on the list may go.
  6. You confirm your participation, book your flight and inform us of your arrival. In a Facebook group or something similar the participants get to know each other.
  7. You are picked up by a member of the other local group and brought to the hotel. Until the evening, a sightseeing program is planned normally.
  8. There is usually a welcome party on the evening of the first day, where you can get to know the other participants.
  9. Over the next few days, an academic program (lectures, internships, softskill trainings, about 1/3 of the total time), a cultural program (sightseeing, excursions to the surrounding area, also 1/3 of the time) and a social program (parties, teambuilding Events, also 1/3 of the time) is planned.
  10. Usually a workshop contains an excursion to the surrounding area.

Someone will usually take care of you 24 hours a day, so you do not have to plan anything except your arrival. For your own program, it is advisable to go one day earlier or stay one day longer. Possibly the local group can also provide you with a mattress.

Usually 15-20 participants are generally accepted, mostly 1-2 from Munich.

Before you apply, you should have a look at one of our sessions. These take place during the semester every other Wednesday evening, irregularly during the holidays. More on this here.

How does an exchange take place?

On the whole it is like a workshop (see above), only without an academic program. In the event of an exchange, a small fee may also be payable. For more information, see the workshop descriptionwww.eestec.net

The exchanges usually take place in the south in summer. It is actually only during the holidays, with great people and a good program.
